1929 Packard 645 Deluxe Eight Ralston Roadster sold to Richard Rawlings by Dragone Classic Motorcars
1929 Packard 645 custom Rollston roadster built for the 29 New York Salon. This is the only surviving 645-745 custom roadster by Rollston. It is pictured in Hugo Pfaus book the coachbuilt Packard . It was owned by Shelley Vincent the well known Massuchusetts Packard collector from 1964. Shelley was part of the family of Colonel Vincent the famous Packard engineer. He purchased the car from Tiny Gould in 1964 for the unheard of price of $6500. In '64 he could of bought a Duesenberg for this price. This car is a spectacular old restoration and a past national CCCA and AACA national winner. We have found an article about the car in Autobody magazine in Dec. 1928 announcing the Salon exhibits for the 29 show . In this text the car is described and was originally equipped with Ebony wood running boards with chrome strips and chrome wire wheels . We are currently bringing the car back to this configuration. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for a true coachbuilt senior Packard Roadster. A great car to take to Pebble Beach.
Prepped with Meguiar's For Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance August 2015, Nick Chapman of Nick's Custom Detailing and crew spent over 500 hours wet sanding and buffing this beauty back to glory. Discovery Channel will be featuring the car in an upcoming episode of Fast & Loud.
