A tribute to the original Roger Penske Grand Sport that sold a few years ago for $5.4 million dollars. There is only one.
This car has spent most of its young life on display at the Texas Museum of Automotive History as one of the featured cars.
This is the fourth Grand Sport I've had built in the last seven years. These cars are brand new hand built from the ground up, using real Corvette donor tubs, which includes the factory installed bar that runs through the dash with the factory VIN# attached. This car has a clear Texas Title. All cars are hand built as a coupe or convertible, 1963 - 1967 based on the factory VIN#. In other words, if the car was originally a coupe or convertible from the factory, then that is what's built. So these cars are real Corvette's with real Corvette VIN's that can be both insured and financed as such.
This Grand Sport has 31 original miles on it and has a new 383 Stoker Motor putting out nearly 500 HP. That's a lot of HP for a 2,200 lb car. The car has a Tremec 5-speed transmission, power brakes and power steering, Ididit tilt wheel and Autometer gauges. It has Halibrand 15 x 10 rear wheels with 15 x 8.5 front wheels by PS Engineering, C4 front suspension and a Dana 44 rear end.
This car is showroom new and is of show quality. Matter of fact, all my cars have either taken Best of Show or First Place and have been shown in numerous events, including the 51st Annual Dallas AutoRama where once again we took "Best in Class". It also took Best of Class in last years Lone Star Corvette Classic at the Texas Motor Speedway.
Also, the past cars were all appraised by a NCRS Triple Master Judge for insurance purposes. My last one, appraised for over $220k US. This car should also bring $150,000.00+ US. I was told in Dubai, UAE this car could easily top $200k US.
