Dream to Drive, Drive to Dream ™
BadAssVixen is a Pro-touring build style 1972 TVR Vixen 2500 in which the goal is to build a Retro/Modern version of the car, and by doing that my goal is to have the car look as though it could have possibly come from the TVR factory as a race option, so I am going out of my way to have the build style make sense in both the Retro and Modern look for a nice blend. The original Vixen was a factory style race ready track car, but like most British Built cars in the day, the horsepower/torque was lacking and traded for more of a go-cart track time..

However, this Vixen will not be lacking the raw horsepower/torque with the addition of the 540 horsepower LS6 being added to it with the Tremec TKO600 5-speed and 2005 GTO rear differential at a 3:50 posi final drive, with all of that in a package that will be right at 2100#'s as a regular driver for a very fun power to weight ratio. To keep the power on the ground we are running Boze Forged 18x10 and 18x11 wheels that are fitted with Falken Azenis 275/35/18in Front and 315.30/18in Rear tire setup, and in order to get that meat on the ground I had to do a Wide Body treatment to the car that would fit the original body styling, and I think that is the result so far.. All the suspension had to be revamped to run C5 Corvette spindle/hubs on all 4 corners, and by doing that we were able to get the 15in Front 6-Piston Radial Calipers and 14in 4-Piston rear Wilwood Brakes installed, along with running Ridetech Triple Adjust Coil Overs all the way around for all the possible setup the car could use..

The car has a lot of other unique features like the exposed rear suspension system that can be seen through the large back glass, and that was done due to wanting the custom Black Widow equipped custom exhaust system to be run through the chassis and rear control arms for better ground clearance to allow a great ride height. And in order to give the exhaust the necessary space throughout the rear chassis and suspension works, I fabricated a rear Roll Bar/Suspension assemble that houses a custom Cantilever Suspension setup equipped with the Ridetech Triple Adjust coil overs and the rear sway bar setup as one complete assembly that unbolts from the chassis and can be removed intact out the rear glass. This should allow the car to stand out, plus it matches the under glass look the front bonnet has to expose the multi throttle body system on top the LS6, and both packages should give the car a retro and mechanical flash back.
