The goal of Project Udog is to enable three teenagers to meet their dreams with automotive trade scholarships which would have otherwise been unavailable to them.
Brought together by actor Sung Kang (the Fast & Furious movie franchise) in conjunction with SEMA and Pennzoil/Shell, the three teenagers will completely rebuild an old 1972 Ford Maverick with their assistance and guidance. The finished car will then be auctioned off to provide funding and scholarships to allow the kids to follow their dreams.
UPDATE: October 21, 2017
The ’72 Ford Maverick built at the SEMA Garage in Diamond Bar, California, under the tutelage of actor Sung Kang sold for $95,000 at the Barrett-Jackson auction, October 21, in Las Vegas. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Foundation, which provides financial support to young people pursuing automotive careers.
